Who we need

Purple Gaze is advancing neuroscience research by providing high-performance Eye Tracking software & hardware. We are looking for an electronics engineer who will be responsible for developing hardware and software components for imaging sensors. An ideal candidate would have expertise with software development in both C and Verilog, prototyping for ARM SoC and FPGA, designing PCBs, be a reliable and self-sufficient person with a motivation to grow and learn.

Duties:
  • Develop wiring, connectors, and PCBs for attaching an image sensor of choice (e.g. OnSemi) to a given MIPI/CSI or LVDS slot;
  • Prototype ARM SoC drivers (device trees, kernel modules, runtime libraries) and FPGA firmware GPIOs for imaging hardware implementations;
  • Read specifications, schematics, and acquire information about interconnects (e.g. Hiroshi) from component databases;
  • Use PCB design software to produce Gerber files for manufacturing;
  • Communicate results to the application engineering team.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with software development in C and Verilog;
  • Experience with prototyping ARM SoC drivers and FPGA firmware;
  • Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g. EAGLE or KiCAD);
  • Fluency in reading specifications, schematics, and acquiring information from component databases;
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical details in a simple way.
